Tender Analysis is one of Tendishas most powerful features. It uses artificial intelligence to read and understand tender documents, extracting structured information that would otherwise take hours to compile manually. Running analysis early in the bidding process gives you a significant advantage by clarifying exactly what the client expects and how they will evaluate proposals.
Steps to run analysis
- Open the tender detail page for the opportunity you want to analyze. You can access this from the Opportunities list by clicking on any tender title.
- Click the Analyze button, typically located in the top-right corner of the tender detail page. Depending on your plan, you may need to confirm that you want to use an AI action from your quota.
- Wait for the AI to process the documents. Analysis time depends on the size and complexity of the tender documents. Simple tenders may take 30 seconds, while large, complex tenders with multiple annexes can take several minutes.
- Review the results. Once analysis is complete, the page will refresh to show the extracted information organized into clear sections.
What analysis provides
Tender Analysis extracts and organizes the following information from your tender documents:
- Requirements extraction — Identifies both mandatory and optional requirements. Mandatory requirements are those that must be met or your bid may be disqualified. Optional requirements are desirable but not strictly necessary.
- Evaluation criteria with weights — Shows how the client will score proposals. Understanding these criteria helps you prioritize sections in your proposal. For example, if technical approach accounts for 60% of the score, you should allocate more effort to that section.
- Important dates and deadlines — Extracts key dates such as submission deadlines, clarification periods, site visits, and evaluation timelines. These are added to your calendar automatically if you choose.
- Required documents list — Lists all documents you need to submit with your proposal, such as certificates, CVs, financial statements, and references.
- Risks and red flags — Identifies potential deal-breakers, unusual clauses, or conditions that could affect your decision to bid. For example, analysis might flag unusually short deadlines, demanding payment terms, or requirements you cannot meet.
Tips for best results
- Upload the complete tender document, including all annexes and specifications. Partial documents lead to incomplete analysis.
- Ensure documents are not password-protected and that the text is selectable (not a scanned image).
- Run analysis as soon as you receive a tender to maximize the time available for preparing your proposal.
- Review the extracted requirements carefully and correct any errors. AI extraction is highly accurate but not perfect.
